Terms of service
These are the main terms of our service in plain English. Every client also signs a short agreement before we start, and that agreement is the full contract.
- Who we are. Get The Ball Rolling Websites is run by Edward Marno, a sole trader.
- The service. Everything listed on our What's included page, for £100 a month.
- Payment. Nothing to pay upfront. Your first month is paid by bank transfer when your website goes live, then monthly by Direct Debit.
- Minimum term. 12 months from go-live, then rolling monthly. After 12 months either of us can end the agreement with one month's notice.
- Leaving early. You can leave within the first 12 months by paying the months that remain (for example £700 with seven months to go).
- Late payment. If a payment is overdue, we will contact you. If it is still unpaid, we may suspend your website and email accounts after giving you seven days' notice.
- Your brand. The logo, brand guidelines and other brand designs we create stay our copyright until your first 12 months are complete, or until you pay the remaining months. They then become yours.
- Your website. The website we design and build remains our copyright. We license it to you for as long as you are a paying customer. It cannot be moved to another host or used elsewhere unless we agree that separately in writing.
- Your domain and accounts. Your domain and Google accounts are registered in your name. We manage your two email accounts; you can take them over after 12 months, or earlier by paying the remaining months.
- Design changes. Two rounds of changes are included while we build. Further rounds, or new work after approval, are quoted first.
- Small changes after launch. Up to 30 minutes a month. Unused time does not roll over.
- What we need from you. Accurate information, and replies to our questions within a reasonable time. Delays on your side may delay your launch.
- Content. You confirm that you have the right to use anything you send us, such as photos and wording.
- Our liability. We take care to keep your website running and secure, but we cannot guarantee it will never be offline, or promise particular Google rankings.
- Law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
